Today, we're discussing two of the latest features in the ChatGPT offering: Web Browsing and Plugins. These are two game-changing features. Now, let's take a look at how you can access them.

Accessing Beta Features

To get started, you need to enable the new features, which are part of the ChatGPT Plus subscription. If you are a subscriber, it's a simple process:

  1. Head over to your settings tab.

  2. Select Beta Features.

  3. Enable both Web Browsing and Plugins.

  4. Voilá! You're now ready to explore the new dimensions of ChatGPT.

Locating the New Features

After activating the features in your settings, it's time to see them in action. Start a new chat and select the GPT-4 option. Now, brace yourself for a surprise as you find the newly added browsing and plugin features ready to serve you.

Diving into Web Browsing

The power to browse the internet gives ChatGPT a whole new dimension of intelligence. With the web browsing feature, you can task ChatGPT with performing internet searches. Example: You're curious about the latest changes to criminal law, or you're trying to understand recent precedents set in a specific court case – ChatGPT can fetch that information for you. However, keep in mind that you are using a beta feature. Nevertheless, it's a fascinating development that hints at the potential of future iterations.

Utilizing Plugins

Next up, we have the Plugins feature. It's like equipping your ChatGPT with a superhero cape! Plugins extend the capabilities of ChatGPT by offering a variety of functionalities. Think of it as a toolbox that you can customize according to your needs. To access these, select Plugins from the drop-down menu and visit the Plugin Store. You'll find several options there, just take your pick.

Understanding the Limitations

One crucial aspect to bear in mind while using plugins is that you can only enable one plugin at a time. Also, be aware of the 25-message cap per three hours when using plugins. Overall, these additions are great but are still beta features, so exercising caution and common sense is recommended. Also note, these features come as part of the ChatGPT Plus package, so they are only available to subscribers at the moment.

What are your thoughts on these new features? Are you excited to test them?
